5 killed, 17 hurt in Indian firing across LOC

Muzaffarabad: Five people, including two women, were killed 17 others wounded, a mosque burnt to ashes in intensified Indian artillery shelling in Leepa valley, Pandu and Keran sectors on Monday morning, officials said.
Three villagers present in the mosque on Etiqaf were killed in Channian village of Leepa valley sector when Indian army rained artillery shells on the mosque which was burnt to ashes after catching fire by artillery shells.
Twelve villagers were also wounded fatally by fierce Indian artillery and mortar shelling in Leepa valley villages.
Seven people were seriously wounded when Indian army hit a private jeep at Keran by-pass while going to Dovarian from Athmuqam. The jeep fell into ravine.
In Nokot village of this sector a woman - Rashida was killed by Indian artillery shell. Another woman - Alam Bibi was killed by Indian shelling in Cham village of Pandu sector.
Three persons were wounded by Indian shells in Pandu sector of Hattian Bala sub-division.
