'Fesco to achieve Rs 20.5 bn target'

FAISALABAD: The Chief Executive of the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco), Brig Mohammad Aslam Khan, has said that the Fesco would achieve the revenue target of Rs 20.5 billion this time.

He asked the Fesco officials to accelerate their efforts for the recovery of power dues on war-footing. He was addressing senior officials of the Fesco at the Wapda Engineering Academy here.

Aslam said that during the first six months of this fiscal, the Fesco achieved the recovery target of Rs 10 Billion, and appreciated the efforts of the staff for this "excellent recovery".

He exhorted the Fesco officials to expedite their recovery efforts so that the amount recovered from the consumers could be supplemented for the execution of new development plans.

He also directed the staff members to minimise the line losses and take effective steps for the elimination of electricity theft.

He announced that honest and dedicated officials of the company would be properly rewarded, while the corrupt and inefficient employees would be shunted out.
