UAE arriving daily

KARACHI: A large number of deportees from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are arriving daily at Karachi airport by international flights including PIA, reports say.

The deportees are handed over to FIA Passport Cell which brings them to its Saddar office.

The deportees are generally persons, who had stayed beyond their visa expiry date. They were hauled in by the police in the two countries after finding them staying unlawfully, or being defective documents.

The deportees include even an eight-year boy Arif, and a lady lecturer of 40 years.

The FIA Passport Cell has registered cases against the deportees under Section 3/4 of the Passport Act.ÑUPP
