Five killed in road mishap

MULTAN: At least four persons including a bus driver, were killed and another 12 injured when a bus collided head-on with a Mazda coaster at Aqil Shah village near Kherpur Tamewali.

According to reports, a bus was going to Bahawalnagar-Chishtian. As it reached near Aqil Shah village, a speedy coaster collided head-on attempting to overtake another vehicle.

As a result the bus driver and three passengers were killed on the spot and another 12 injured who were removed to hospital.

The dead could not be identified immediately. Police have registered a case against the Mazda driver, however no arrest was made.

Meanwhile, a villager was run over by a speedy truck when he was running to save himself from the bees in village Danwaran (Lodhran), on Saturday morning.

According to reports, one Alaf Din was passing through a field on Saturday. All of a sudden bees encircled him and started biting. He ran panic towards the road to save his life. But was crushed under the wheels of a speedy truck. Alaf Din died on the spot.
