FAISALABAD: Ch Mohammad Akram, Judge Punjab special court for the suppression of terrorist activities, Faisalabad division, has awarded death sentence to four persons involved in abduction and rape case.

Announcing the decision here on Thursday, the learned court has accorded death sentence to Sarfraz, Ahmed, Mohammad Khan and Sajid on two count with life term, rigorous imprisonment of three years and fine of Rs 0.1 million to each of them. They will have to undergo further 14 years rigorous imprisonment if they failed to pay the fine.

According to prosecution, the criminals in police uniforms abducted two sisters (Asmat Bibi and Basra Bibi) along with one Mumtaz of Moza Sangra of Police Station Chenab Nagar (Rebwa) and later committed rape with the girls on October 30.

The learned court has awarded death sentence under Hadood Ordinance, and Anti Terrorists Act with the fine of Rs 50,000, while life imprisonment has been given on the charges of abduction with fine of Rs 50,000 to each of them.
