BS 11-15 recruitment in selected depts thru FPCCI proposed
RECORDER REPORT
ISLAMABAD: Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) Chairman, Lt Gen Mumtaz Gul (Retd) has proposed recruitment of BS-11 to BS-15 in selected departments through commission and alternative jobs for the candidates, who qualify the CSS examination but are not allocated jobs because of limited number of vacancies in service groups.
The FPSC chairman put these suggestions to the Chief Executive General Pervaiz Musharraf during his visit to the FPSC here on Thursday.
The Chief Executive assured that the institution would be strengthened and the proposals would be submitted to the National Security Council for decisions.
Sources said the Chief Executive had approved all the recommendations of the chairman of the commission and said that the administrative and financial autonomy would soon be given to the FPSC.
He also directed the commission to gear up working of the examination system and take steps to send the lists of successful candidates to the ministries and divisions concerned for appointments within the shortest possible time after receiving requisition from them.
Recommendations presented to the Chief Executive by the FPSC chairman include enhancement of role of the commission for improving personnel administration and career development of civil servants, revised composition of the commission, provision for oath-taking by the chairman and the members, provision for offering alternate jobs to the candidates, who qualify the CSS examination but are not allocated to any group because of limited vacancies and grant of administrative and financial autonomy to the commission.
The Chief Executive was also given briefing on the commission's functioning, including historical background, present functions organisational set-up, detailed method and procedure of recruitment to all Pakistan services rules for all conducting of final passing out (FPO) examination, formulation of service rules for all civil posts in various ministries and divisions and research studies on performance of candidates in the competitive examination.
