2 kg heroin seized, Yemeni national held

KARACHI: Drug Enforcement Cell staff at Jinnah Terminal Karachi airport foiled two attempts of narcotic smuggling and arrested a Yemeni and a Pakistani following recovery of contraband from their possession.

Hafiz Salim Rashed Altmimi, a Yemeni national, travelling on passport No 0314615, was apprehended while he was leaving for Bujumbura through Addisababa via Bombay by PIA flight PK-280.

An examination of his baggage resulted in the recovery of two kg heroin powder concealed in the flase bottom and top of his trolley suitcase.

Alam Zeb a Pakistani national was caught when one kg heroin was recovered from his hand bag. He was travelling on passport No C-780371 to Bangkok by Thai Air flight TG-502. APP
