Indian republic day Extra ordinary security in Indian occupied Kashmir
NEW DELHI: Security in Indian occupied Kashmir and its adjoining areas has been tightened due to Indian Republic Day being observed on January 26, reports "Voice of America".
According to the report, extra-ordinary security has been adopted to celebrate the Republic Day of India on January 26.
Security has been further tightened particularly in Srinagar, Jammu and other adjacent areas of Indian occupied Kashmir. The celebration would be held after two days but all the roads leading to Bakhshi Stadium have been closed for common traffic and people, the report said.
Indian armed forces, security agencies and people were much worried this year because of recent attacks by the freedom fighters on security and armed forces headquarters, the report added.
According to an other report, Indian Army has set up new check posts at several places and Indian troops were stopping the public and private vehicles at various places in order to check freedom fighters activities. Several search operations have already been conducted in Majurnagar, Batmalu and other surrounding areas and identity parade of the people was also conducted. There seemed a curfew like situation in most of the cities of the valley, the report added. APP
