Black day rallies all-over in Kashmir today

MUZAFFARABAD: Indian Republic Day will be observed as Black Day on Wednesday throughout occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and abroad.
Complete strike will be observed across the occupied Jammu and Kashmir and AJK on so-called Indian Republic Day and protest rallies, demonstrations will be held to denounce Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashmiris living abroad will staged protest demonstration in front of Indian High Commissions, embassies and United Nations offices.
According to VOA Srinagar correspondent, the Indian army has imposed day-and-night curfew in all the cities and towns of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a day before Indian Republic Day.
The VOA correspondent, who visited Srinagar and other major cities and town of occupied Kashmir on Tuesday, reported that 60 percent markets and business establishments were closed as protest by the people and a curfew-like situation prevailed in every nook and corner of the occupied territory.
The roads were representing a deserted look as there were no vehicles. There was an Indian soldier every yard checking pedestrians.
To mark the day as black day, a big protest rally will be held in the AJK capital which will be addressed by Prime Minister Sultan Mehmood Choudhary, former ministers, heads of political and religious parties and human rights activists.
The processionists will march to the UN military observer office where a protest resolution will be presented for Secretary General Kofi Annan to the UN military observers.
Kashmiri human right activisits will stage a protest demonstration in front of the UN military observer office and will also hand over a protest resolution.
