KARACHI: A workshop on "The perspective of civil society in the transport sector development initiative in Pakistan" begans at a local hotel on Monday.

The workshop organised by the World Bank. Dr. Amer Zafar Durrani discussed the propose of the workshop in detail with the help of a number of data and chart.

He also highlighted the problems and barriers in the way of implementing transport policies in Pakistan.

He suggested various measures to develop awareness among the masses for the need of transportation.

On Tuesday, the workshop will continue from morning to late evening and a strategy would be evolved to develop a comprehensive transport policy for the country.
