Five special courts to be set up for narcotic cases

KARACHI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) will soon have five special courts to be established one in each of the ANF Directorates in Sindh, Balochistan, NWFP, the Punjab and Northern Areas.

This was stated by Brig Mukhtar Ahmed, Regional Director ANF (Sindh) at a radio press conference on Sunday.

He said these courts would exclusively try narcotic trafficking and smuggling cases which, hitherto, used to be tried by Sessions Courts.

He said establishment of special Narcotics Courts would expedite the disposal of narcotic cases which otherwise take years. APP
