PS chief calls for joint research with PAF

KARACHI: The Chairman, Pakistan Steel, Col. Mohammad Afzal Khan (Retd) on Sunday called for collaborative research between the Institute of Material Sciences and Research (IMSR) of Pakistan Steel (PS) and Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

He was addressing a certificates distributing ceremony on conclusion of a 40-hour course on "Advanced Materials for PAF Officers." The course was conducted by the (IMSR) of Pakistan Steel at Central Technical Development Unit (CTDU) of PAF Base Faisal.

Col. Afzal said Pakistan Steel offers its services in the field of research to public sector as well as to the private sector organisations.

He called for a greater interaction between the universities and the other educational institutions involved in the field of research.

He also assured his full support to PAF's Central Technical Development Unit. Earlier, CTDU Commanding Officer, Wing Commander, Ahmed Saifi Qudsi paid tributes to the IMSR for conducting the course on advanced materials. He also hoped that Pakistan Steel would continue its cooperation with the CTDU of PAF in future also. APP
