HYDERABAD: Secretary defunct Sindh Road Transport Corporation (SRTC), Syed Iqbal Hussain has said on Saturday that Sindh government has so far released Rs 10 million in two installments for payment of 50 percent backlog salaries of officials and 30 percent of officers of SRTC.
He said that the government had released the amount following the agreement signed on December 6, 1999 between SRTC workers union (CBA), Action Committee, Officers Association and the Sindh government.
Besides, he said the retirement dues of ex-employees of the Corporation were also being paid after proper audit through local fund audit.
He hoped that in accordance with the agreement, the remaining amount towards backlog salaries and the dues to retired SRTC employees will be paid within due date. APP
