Bus falls into gorge in India, 35 killed

NEW DELHI: Thirty-five people were killed when a bus in which they were travelling veered off a mountain road and plunged into a river in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, state radio said on Saturday.

All India Radio said the accident took place on Friday night at a village called Kalhel near the town of Chamba in the mountainous state. Some 40 people were travelling on board the bus, it said.-Reuters
