200 teachers promoted
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), has promoted 200 male and female teachers from grade 9 to 16 to higher grades during last three months.
An official of the FDE told APP that 100 male and 38 female teachers have been promoted from grade 9 to 14, 15 male and 14 female from grade 15 to 16, one male and 2 female junior teachers from grade 14 to 16.
He said that 14 deputy headmasters and 6 deputy headmistress have been promoted as headmasters and headmistress and five headmasters as Principal.
The promotion cases of 10 deputy headmistress are lying in the Ministry of Education, he added and said that the directorate, for the first time has cleared all cases of move over from grade 1 to 16 and there are no pending cases in the directorate while cases of grade 17 and above have been submitted to the Ministry for approval.
He said that last year, teachers training workshop for training of English, Mathematics and Arabic at secondary level was held to improve teaching system.
He said that last month, three days workshop regarding school health education was also organised. He said surprise inspection of about 50 schools both male and female have been made by the director general, director schools and deputy directors and director planning and development to have first hand information of the problems.
Strict disciplinary action have been taken against those found absent from duty and showing negligence in performance of their duties, he added. APP
