APC backs govt policy on Kashmir

KARACHI: An All-Parties Conference convened by Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) here on Friday appreciated the Kashmir policy of the present government.

A JUP statement said that the participants of the moot paid tributes to the Chief Executive Gen Pervez Musharraf for his decision to term the resolution of Kashmir issue as the first condition for dialogue with India.

They urged the government to take steps at diplomatic level for giving a befitting reply to the Indian propaganda.

The participants of the moot vehemently condemned the threats hurled by India and the subversive activities of the RAW which through its dastardly acts was trying to create scare in Pakistan through bomb blasts.

They said that at the international level also India with its misleading propaganda, was trying to mar the image of Pakistan.

They warned that the people of Pakistan are with their armed forces to face any threat of aggression from India and that they cannot be cowed down by the Indian threats.

Hafiz Mohammad Taqi who chaired the moot in his speech said that India is a big threat for peace in South Asia.

He said that India is constantly hurling threats of war to Pakistan and that neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan are also not safe owing to the aggressive designs of India.

Hafiz Taqi said that India has been amassing weapons and has been spending billions of rupees for crushing the freedom movement in occupied Kashmir and for this purpose India is using every inhuman tactic.

In a resolution, the participants of the moot demanded of the government that in view of the Indian threats, a round table conference of all parties should be convened.

The moot was attended by Bostan Ali Hoti, Rashid Rabbani, Maulana Mohammad Asad Thanvi, Ahmed Dara, Alhaj Mohammad Rafi, Mohammad Jamil Ghazi, Maulana Abdul Majeed Ashrafi, Muzaffar Ahmed Hashmi, Dr Aamir Mohammadi, Qari Abdul Khaliq Rehmani, Abdul Wahid, Khan Amanullah Khan, Mohammad Ayub Alwari and Syed Mohammad Hanif Bukhari.ÑAPP
