Acceding State (Property) Ordinance amended
ISLAMABAD: President Mohammad Rafiq Tarar has promulgated the Acceding State (Property) (Amendment) Ordinance 2000.
The Ordinance which comes into force with immediate effect, amends the Acceding State (Property) Order, 1961.
It makes substitutions in Articles 3, 5, 6 and 7 of the 1961 order replacing words 'Provincial Government' with the words 'Federal Government', etc.
Following is the text of the ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. III OF 2000.
AN
ORDINANCE
further to amend the Acceding State (Property) Order, 1961
WHEREAS it is expedient to extend the Acceding State (Property) Order, 1961 (P. No. 12 of 1961) for the purpose hereinafter appearing.
AND WHEREAS the National Assembly and the Senate stand suspended in pursuance of the proclamation of Emergency of the foundation day of October, 1999 and the Provisional Constitution Order No. 1 as amended.
AND WHEREAS the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action,
NOW, THEREFORE in pursuance of proclamation of the fourteenth day of October, 1999, the Provisional Constitution Order as well as Order No. 9 of 1999 and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistn is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:
1. SHORT THE AND COMMENCEMENT.- (1) This Ordinance may be called the Acceding State (Property) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2000.
(2) It shall come into force once.
2. Amendment of Articles 3, 5, 6 and 7 P.O. No 12 of 1961-. In the Acceding State (Property) Order, 1961 (P.O. No. 12 of 1961), in Articles 3, 5, 6 and 7, for the words "Provincial Government", wherever occurring, the words "Federal Government" shall be substituted.ÑAPP
