Faisalabad: President Rafiq Tarar on Wednesday extended the hanging date of a convict in a murder case.

Mohammed Arshad was to be hanged early on Tuesday morning in the District Jail and he was allowed to meet his close relatives before execution but at the eleventh hour the jail authorities received an order from the President allowing 15-day extension for hanging so that the convict could try to have a patch-up with the bereaved family.
