ISLAMABAD: Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday announced a grant of Rs 100,000 each for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each for the injured.

This financial assistance will be in addition to the one already announced by the Sindh government.

Gen Pervez Musharraf also condemned the "dastardly act of terrorism" in Karachi on last Monday and ordered the concerned authorities to apprehend the culprits.

He expressed his grief over the loss of lives and sympathised with the bereaved families. The blast in the port city on Monday had also destroyed valuable property.

Gen Musharraf also directed the Sindh government to provide all possible assistance to the injured in the incident.

He said immediate steps should be taken for rehabilitation of the families of victims of the bomb blast.ÑAPP
