KARACHI: The Muslim Commercial Bank has finalised the plan to introduce the revolutionised nationwide ATM services.
The Bank has commenced work on the installation of a nationwide ATM Switch called, "MCBSwitch" whereby any bank in Pakistan will be able to utilise and share the services of the MCB ATM network.
The launch of "MCBSwitch" will not only provide bank customer 24 hours banking services nationwide but will also give them the same convenience internationally.
All MCBSwitch member bank customers will be able to use over 465,000 ATMs worldwide through the Master Card International "Cirrus" network for cash withdrawal as well as facility of purchase at all retail outlets displaying the "Maestro" logo.
The project is being undertaken in cooperation with the Euronet/Arksys and IBM.

Unlike, the present locally developed ATM sharing facilities used by some banks, the MCBSwitch facility is being supported by an international system which has been tried and tested in over 60 countries all over the world.
"MCB has always been at the forefront of providing quality products. Our ATM network, with over 80 locations covering ten cities as well as all major air ports, is a hallmark of our leadership in information technology," said Haroon Bashir Shaikh, Head of Consumer Banking and Information Technology.
