Bilquees Edhi inaugurates Coast Guards ultrasound unit

KARACHI: Begum Bilquees Edhi inaugurated on Wednesday the ultrasound unit set up by the Coast Guards at their Families Welfare Project situated inside Coast Guards Headquarters. Coast Guards have purchased the ultrasound unit out of their own resources.

On reaching the project site, Bilquees was received by the wife of Brig. Zafar Mahmud, Director-General, Coast Guards. Bilquees visited various sections of the project and appreciated the work being done by the volunteers for the families of the employees of the Coast Guards.

She also went round the Coast Guards hospital and saw various wards and the dental lab equipped with the latest equipment/instruments needed for dental diseases treatment.

Bilquees appreciated the efforts which the force is making for the uplift of technical skills of women and for improving health standards of the families living within the Coast Guards premises.
