Ethiopia increases fuel prices, cites currency
ADDIS ABABA: Ethiopia has raised retail prices of fuel for the new year, reflecting the international market and depreciation of the Ethiopian birr currency against the dollar, the Ministry of Trade and Industry said on Saturday.
Gasoline, diesel and kerosene retail prices have been increased by 17.52, 12.50 and 10.71 percent respectively as of December 31. The new prices will remain in effect for three months, it added.-Reuters
