doesn't charge
attestation fee
ISLAMABAD: The ministry of education does not charge any fee on attestation of educational degrees and certificates, the ministry sources said here on Saturday.
Keeping in view the problems being faced by the people who come from across the country to get their educational certificates attested, the sources said, the ministry has issued various directives to the concerned department.
The sources, however clarified that only certificates and degrees issued by the country's boards of intermediate and secondary education, boards of technical education and chartered universities are attested by the ministry.
For attestation, the people are required to submit one each copy of the certificate or diploma, to be attested, and the national identity card of the person concerned alongwith the original educational credentials, the sources said.
According to the sources, if one cannot provide original certificate, degree or mark sheet at the time of attestation, it is necessary for him to provide an attested copy of the gazette notification.
The sources further said, for attestation of degrees of MBBS and Engineering, the registration of Pakistan Engineering Council and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council was essential.
The attestation of school leaving certificate was also required a pre-attestation by the respective district education officer, the sources maintained.ÑAPP
