CDC remained Y2K compliant

KARACHI: The Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited has entered the new millennium smoothly and all its systems are working properly. This proves its earlier contention that its system was Y2K compliant and it was ready to meet the challenges of Year 2000.

As announced earlier, Central Depository System (CDS) will allow settlement of securities from January 3, 2000. Until then, CDS will only allow account holders/participants/pledges to obtain reports for reconciliation purposes.
