BOE says Y2K bug not affecting UK bank systems
LONDON: The Bank of England said on Saturday that Britain's card payments systems, automatic teller machines (ATMs), telephone banks and online banks were operating normally in the wake of the millennium date change.
A Bank of England spokesman told Reuters the central bank had not seen any signs yet that Y2K computer bug problems were affecting banking systems.-Reuetsr
