2.3kg heroin recovered

LAHORE: The Customs officials recovered two kilograms and 300 grams of heroin from a Nepalese passenger of the Lahore-Delhi bus service at Wagha border check post, 25 kilometres off here on Saturday.

According to Customs officials, on a tip-off, a raiding team of the department conducted the body search of the passengers of the bus at the post at 7.30 am and recovered the contra-band from the obsession of the Nepalese passenger, Tusnalama (passport number 797875).

The accused has been handed over to anti-narcotics officials. The Customs have also lodged an FIR with the Wagha police station regarding the first ever smuggling bid of the new century. APP
