Daudpota visits auto parts show

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Air Marshal Azim Daudpota (Retd) here on Tuesday visited the Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) 2000 being organised by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

The governor visited each and every stall and heard the problems faced by the auto spare parts manufacturers.

The governor said the government was keen to promote local industries and assured the manufacturers all possible help to make them able to compete the outside producers.

The PAPS 2000 is five-day industrial show Ñ January 18 to 22 and it is participated by 105 firms producing auto spare parts in the country. Besides, the Toyota and Suzuki motors companies joined the exhibition and have put their products on display.

The show is meant to introduce an encourage the local products and highlight the contribution of the automotive industry towards the strengthening the economy in terms of promoting the skill and creating job opportunities besides saving a lot of foreign exchange.

The governor was later briefed about various trade marks and their marketing status.

The occasion was also graced with cultural show. The cultural delegates of all the four provinces who were dressed traditionally sang their local songs. APP
