HYDERABAD: The pre-entry test for admission to first year engineering , architecture and city and regional planning of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, for 1999-2000 session held at the Public School Latifabad, Hyderabad, here on Sunday in a peaceful atmosphere.

As many as 1,874 candidates including 88 girls appeared in the test.

There are 407 vacant seats in the first year.

A team of 135 teachers of Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi University conducted the test. The result will be announced on January 19.

The same team also conducted the pre-entry test for first year candidates for admission to Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam.
