PAEC seminar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in collaboration with the RCA and IAEA is organising a 6-day seminar on processing of agro-waste by using radiation technology on January 17 at a local hotel here.

Dr Kausar Abdullah Malik, chairman, Pakistan Agriculture Research Council will be the chief guest.

It will provide a forum for exchange of latest information on applicability and potentials of commercialised radiation processing technologies for enhanced utilisation of Cellusoic Argiculture Waste, Viscose Rayon and Chiton/Chitosan in Pakistan, said PAEC news release.

The seminar is open to the executive managers, scientists, engineers from agricultural universities, environmental protection agencies and NGOs.

Experts from Japan and Malaysia, PAEC and local industrial sectors will delivery lectures on the subject.ÑAPP
