HYDERABAD: The Naib Amir of Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan, Prof. Ghafoor Ahmed, has said that the performance of the military rulers during the last three months was simply zero.

He was addressing an Eid Milan Party organised by the local chapter of his party at the Mehran Arts Council here on Friday night. He said during this period the military rulers had neither provided any relief to the masses nor completed the Ehtesab of any corrupt politician or bureaucrat.

He ridiculed the Landhi jail case and said that the said jail was not made of card board that it could be broken. He said the plane of General Pervez Musharraf had landed on October 12 but he himself still appeared to be flying in the air. He advised General Musharraf to come down to earth and added that the General should learn a lesson from the fate of Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto. He accused the general of treading the same path.

He said General Pervez Musharraf was prepared to sign all anti-Pakistan agreements including the CTBT under the dictation of the IMF and warned that America could not help prolong his rule if he signed the CTBT.

The JI leader further said that if any ruler tried to bargain on the Kashmir issue, the nation will not forgive such cowards.

He reminded General Pervez Musharraf that Pakistan was not conquered by the army but it had come into being due to the sacrifices of tens of thousands of Muslims living in the minority provinces of the Sub-continent.

The others who spoke on the occasion included, Moulana Abdul Waheed Qureshi, Moulana Mushtaq Ahmed and Mumtaz Hussain Sehto.
