Brownback holds 'positive' talks with Sattar
ISLAMABAD: The visiting US senator, Sam Brownback, on Saturday described his talks with Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar as "open and positive."
He was talking to a group of journalists after his hour-long wide-ranging talks with the foreign minister at the Foreign Office here.
Brownback flew here on a three day visit and would call on the Chief Executive, General Pervez Musharraf.
"We had a wonderful and open discussion and a positive discussion and I look forward to further conversation with General Musharraf and other people here," he said.
Abdul Sattar said Brownback's visit "would make a valuable contribution towards the understanding between Pakistan and the United States.
"I think his visit to Pakistan is going to make a valuable contribution to better understanding of the nature of relations and, as a leader of the Republican Party, he is in a position to make a very valuable contribution for better understanding on the Hill of Pakistan's concerns, just as he is in a position to contribute to our understanding of US concerns," said the foreign minister.ÑAPP
