LSE board of directors for 2000
RECORDER REPORT
LAHORE: After the nomination of seven outside directors, the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) Board of Directors for the year 2000, has reached full strength.
According to the LSE spokesman, the Board comprises Khawaja Hamid Saeed, Chairman, Syed Asim Zafar, Vice Chairman, and Gulfam Ahmad Khan Sherwani, Asif Baig Mirza, Syed Mohammad Ismail Abbasi, Raja Munir Ahmad, Shahid Nauman Rana, Javed Iqbal, Gul Abdullah Dhami and Khawaja Sami Rashid.
According to the LSE Articles of Association No. 64 (ii), LSE Board of Directors in its meeting held on January 13, nominated Khalid Niaz Khawaja, Head of Human Resource Management MCB and Sajjad Hassan former Chairman of the Central Board of Revenue.
In accordance with the LSE Articles of Association No. 64 (iii), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan nominated Khalid Yaqub, Finance Manager of Packages Limited, Lahore and Muneer Kamal, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank Limited, Lahore.
In pursuance to the LSE's Articles of Association No. 64 (v), Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry nominated its president Ilyas M. Chaudhry. Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LUMS), nominated Dr. Naim Sipra, Professor and Director CMER LUMS and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan nominated Fazal Mahmood FCA on the LSE Board of Directors for the year 2000.
