Two more NAB courts

LAHORE: Two more NAB courts headed by Rustam Ali Malik and Munir Ahmad Sheikh have started functioning here from Friday. Two more courts are likely to be set up but so far their judges have not been named. The courts were still in the formative stage at the new premises which was previously called Circuit House.ÑAPP

Quran course

LAHORE: A special 3-month course to teach the Holy Quran will commence here at three separate premises from Monday, January 17 and will continue till April 17. The course is being arranged to provide an opportunity to the people for learning and better understanding of the Quran. Both ladies and gentlemen may participate in it.ÑAPP

First draw of Rs 750 prize bond

ISLAMABAD: First draw of Rs 750 prize bonds will be held here Saturday in the premises of National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) sector H-8/1, Pitras Bokhari Road, opposite Shifa International Hospital. Advisor to the Chief Executive for Information and Media Development, Javed Jabbar will preside over the draw proceedings. The ceremony will start at 10 in the morning.ÑAPP

US Senators' wives tour Faisal mosque

ISLAMABAD: The wives of the US Senators visited Faisal mosque here on Friday and were briefed about its design. The delegation evinced keen interest in the design of the mosque and described it a master peace of the art. Deputy Director General Admn. CDA briefed them. They also were keen to know more about the Quran gallery of the mosque, said a CDA news release here.ÑAPP

Four CIA men sacked

KARACHI: SSP CIA Manzoor Mughal Friday ordered the termination of service of four CIA personnel ASI Mohammed Ibrahim and HCs Sikandar Ali, Muhammad Akhtar and Khan Mohammed. The SSP took the action on a complaint by one Mohammad Amin who had accused the four CIA personnel of committing torture, excess and illegal acts.

On his complaint the SSP had placed the four under suspension and formed an inquiry committee where they failed to disprove the allegations and, therefore, their services terminated on the recomendation of committee.ÑAPP
