Body formed to

probe into

unknown disease

KARACHI: Provincial Health Secretary Zia-ul-Islam, has expressed concern over reports in local newspapers about death of twelve persons in Malir as a result of some unknown disease and ordered an immediate inquiry into the same.

The Health Secretary appointed Deputy Director Capt Dr Abdul Majid as inquiry officer and directed him to immediately visit the affected place and find out the causes of the secret disease in Malir.

He further directed that presence of doctors, dispensers and other staff be ensured in the government hospitals and dispensaries in rural areas of Malir and see that no problem is faced by the patients.

Zia-ul-Islam warned of strict action against doctors and staff if complaints were received about their absence from duty or ill attention to patients.ÑAPP
