KARACHI: On the initiative of PIA Managing Director Arif Ali Khan Abbasi, sportsmen employed in the airline's Sports Division have now joined the PIA Training Centre to undergo basic training in the airline's history, objectives, and operations to groom them for the organisation's mainstream activity.

Out of the 37 sportsmen, 27 are now undergoing training at the PTC, while the rest will be reporting for the orientation programme by the end of this month.

It is expected that these sportsmen after completion of the programme will be inducted into the airline's mainstream and posted different departments for optimal utilisation of their services in the corporate interest.ÑPR
