KL shares climb, shrug off opposition arrests
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian shares rose on Thursday morning as investors shrugged off potential political risks after an apparent crackdown on opposition supporters, and instead focused on market talk of the possible scrapping of an exit tax.
Composite Index at 9.23 a.m: up 1.20 percent or 10.46 points at 880.08, a 2-year intraday high.-Reuters
