Consultation meeting on electronic media today

ISLAMABAD: A consultation meeting on the electronic media in Pakistan will be held here on Friday.

The meeting will be chaired by Adviser to the Chief Executive on National Affairs and Information and Media Development Javed Jabbar.

A cross-section of people related to electronic media have been invited from all over the country. This would be the first meeting of its kind in Pakistan.

The meeting aims at reviewing the current features of the electronic media in Pakistan as well as to assess the role of overseas electronic media and their respective coverage of the audience in Pakistan.

The meeting further aims at identifying policies and actions required to enable new directions to be defined for the electronic media in the context of the chief executive's address of October 17, 1999. APP
