CKIA concerned over
KESC, PTCL breakdown
KARACHI: Council of Karachi's Industrial Associations (CKIA) has taken a strong exception to the breakdown of electricity and out of order telephone lines in the Korangi Industrial area.
The Chairman CKIA, Farooq Bakaley, in a statement, issued here on Thursday expressed his concern on the non-supply of electricity to Korangi industrial area for the last four days and about 600 telephone lines of the area being out of order for the last 15 days.
The Chief of CKIA representing over 10,000 industrial units of SITE, F.B. Area and North Karachi Industrial areas said that the breakdown of telephone lines meant that the Korangi industrial units have done no business during the last 15 days.
He deplored the indifferent attitude of the officials of the concerned agencies and appealed to the higher authorities to intervene personally to help the industrialists restore their communication links with the outer world besides restoration of power supply.ÑAPP
