122 shops gutted in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: A huge fire that erupted in late hours of Wednesday night, gutted about 122 shops at Muslim Market in main Saddar Bazar.
The loss due to blaze estimated about more than Rs 10 million. Most of the shops were filled with old clothes, second-hand leather goods and shoes.
The Wednesday fire is second in less than one month in Peshawar.
Earlier, a few days ago a similar fire incident occurred in a timber market in Peshawar city and inflicted serious loss.
Cause of the conflagration could not be ascertained and is believed to be short circuiting.ÑAPP
