Microsoft incentives for Pak system builders
ISLAMABAD: Microsoft, the software giant, here on Wednesday announced many incentives for the system builders in Pakistan, and informed them on profits associated with installing legal Windows on new PCs.
"This move is one of the many steps which Microsoft is taking to contribute to the growth of Pakistani IT market, creating new job opportunities and technical expertise, besides presenting new areas for profit growth with minimal extra investments", Microsoft OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Business Manager in Pakistan Aadil Ishfaq told the seminar here at a local hotel.
Microsoft Product Marketing Manager Mazen Shehadeh and Microsoft Education/IPR Manager Jawad Al Redha arrived here, from the company's regional headquarters in Dubai, to guide the computer builders in extending better services and to ensure customers satisfaction. A number of computer assemblers attended the day-long event at a local hotel.
The seminar proposed an integrated value-addition plan for selected computer assemblers. These include training, consultancy, system integration and on-going support activities which are high profit activities.
Millennium cash awards was formally announced for the system builders, under which they can earn up to Rs 30,000 and receive Microsoft OEM Top Sales Achiever Shield.
The company intends to award 10 shields, who top the sales list till March 31, 2000.
