holds reception

on Eid-ul-Fitr

KARACHI: The Indonesian residents in Karachi celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr. A reception hosted for them by the Consul General of Indonesia and Madame Ali Ardjoeno at their residence on Sunday evening.

Pakistani friends were also invited to the reception and a special cake marking Pakistan-Indonesia Friendship Society was cut jointly by the Consul General and Mrs Ali Ardjoeno, the Sindh Minister for Law, Mrs Shahida Jamil, and her husband and Pakistan-Indonesia Friendship Society President Akberali Hashwani.

On the occasion, Shahida Jamil wished the Indonesian consul general and his wife and the Indonesian people happy returns of the occasion and also looked forward to the further strengthening of friendship and close brotherly ties between the two nations.

A large number of consular corps officials in Karachi attended the Eid-ul-Ftir open house at the residence of Indonesian consul general and included the counsul general of Iran and the deputy consul general of Iran, Equatorial Guinea Consul Zia Ahmed, leading businessmen and industrialists and office bearers of Pakistan-Indonesia Friendship Society.ÑUPP
