Guwar registers substantial rise on seed, grain markets

KARACHI: Guwar rose substantially on the seed and grain markets while variation were also marked in grain varieties, wheat and cottonseed oilcake on Wednesday.

Guwar turned bullish and rose inferior by Rs. 54 to Rs. 1555 and better type by Rs. 53 to Rs. 1608.

Wheat rose inferior, by Rs. 5 to Rs. 935 and better type also by the same amount to Rs. 945.

Gram garda dropped Rs. 70 to Rs. 1960, and better type lost Rs. 90 to Rs. 1980. Yellow peas lost Rs. 25 to Rs. 1175 and better type shed Rs. 20 to Rs. 1200. Beetle lost Rs. 45 to Rs. 2070 and better type lost Rs. 50 to Rs. 2100. Fifty-fifty was down by Rs. 10 to Rs. 1990 and better type shed Rs. 25 to Rs. 2025.

Cottonseed oilcakes, inferior lost Rs. 10 to Rs. 275 and better type was quoted at Rs. 295.
