SHAHDADKOT: Nearly 15,000 acres of cultivable land in tehsils of Shahdadkot, Qanbu Saeed Khan and Kutchi Pull have been inundated by the drain water that has flown from the Balochistan drain into the lands over the past three years with no check or stoppage by the Sindh Irrigation authorities.

The saline water affected the arreas of Larkana district, especially the wheat growing areas of the tehsils.

Residents of the three affected tehsils have appealed to the Sindh governor and the Sindh irrigation authorities to save their lands from total ruin.ÑUPP
