farewell for

outgoing CG

KARACHI: The Ambassador of the Netherlands in Pakistan, Jaap A Walkate, and Mrs Marianne Walkate-Rijks hosted a reception here on Tuesday evening to bid farewell to the outgoing Consul-General of the Netherlands in Karachi, Bert W Schortinghuis, Mrs Imke H Shortinghuis-Boven.

The reception was largely attended by the consular corps in Karachi and also leading businessmen, industrialists and friends and admirers of the Dutch Consul-General and his wife.

The outgoing Dutch Consul-General and his wife have been a very popular couple at different social and diplomatic circles in Karachi and have contributed greatly to the promotion of closer ties between Pakistan and the Netherlands.ÑUPP
