Two information

centres set up

in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The district administration has set up two centres in Faisalabad to provide information and for guiding the relatives of the passengers travelling in the ill fated bus No. FDQ-9376 of Kohistan Bus Service that met a fatal accident near Gujri in between Kalar Kahar and Balksar on Motorway on Thursday.

One centre has been set up in the office of Assistant Commissioner while another is working in the office of Kohistan Bus Service in General Bus Stand. In addition to these information centres, one information centre has also been set up at Chakwal while the bus company has also established another information centre in his stand in Rawalpindi. These centres are provided information besides facilitating the relatives of the passengers of the ill-fated bus round the clock.

Representing district administration, Magistrate Khalid Manzoor said here on Thursday night that Bus No. FDQ-9376 left its stand in GBS at 11-15 a.m on Thursday with 49 passengers on board. "The information about the accident was received here at around 4.45 p.m," he said and added that on the directive of the Deputy Commissioner, information centres were set up immediately to guide the relatives of the ill-fated bus. "We have facilitated the relatives of the passengers by offering free travel up to Chakwal through special arrangements," he said. The management of the bus company is fully cooperating in bringing back the injured or the bodies.ÑAPP
