KUWAIT: The Parliamentary Leader of Jammu Kashmir Peoples Party, Khalid Ibrahim on Monday asked Kuwait to play its role in bringing the carnage of innocent Kashmiri Muslims at the hands of Indian occupation troops in occupied Kashmir to an immediate end.

In separate interviews to chief editors of two leading national dailies of Kuwait, he also asked Kuwait to use its influence to ensure that the people of Kashmir get their inherent right to self-determination promised to them under the relevant UN resolutions.

Ibrahim said that media representatives from Kuwait should also visit occupied Kashmir to see for themselves the plight of the oppressed people of the State. He said the Kashmiris are waging Jehad to achieve their right to self-determination guaranteed them under the UN resolutions.

He said India is trying to perpetuate illegal occupation of Kashmir through the brutal use of force. He said the aggressive designs of India are posing an intensified threat to the regional peace adding that Islamic fraternity and the international community should play a meaningful role to ensure that the prevailing tension in the region does not lead to a nuclear holocaust.

Ibrahim said India is committing flagrant violation of human rights in the occupied Kashmir and added that death and destruction has visited every home in the occupied valley for the last 10 years.

He said the representatives of international human rights organisations and media should go on the fact-finding mission to the Occupied Kashmir.ÑPPI
