Journalist Abdul Aziz passes away
ISLAMABAD: Mir Abdul Aziz, a veteran Kashmiri journalist, broadcaster and telecaster, breathed his last in Rawalpindi on Sunday afternoon. He was 77.
According to family sources, Mir Abdul Aziz was admitted in Combined Military Hospital, with diabetes problem for the last three days and expired due to renal failure.
Mir Abdul Aziz worked for the Kashmir cause almost to his last breath.
He was rightly conferred the title, "one man Kashmir Information Ministry" by his admirers.
The government of Pakistan acknowledged his contribution to the Kashmir cause by conferring on him the awards of "The Pride of Performance" and of "Best Writer on Kashmir".
Mir Abdul Aziz was the owner-editor of English weekly, "Times of Kashmir" and Urdu weekly "Insaf".
His funeral will take place at 10.00 a.m. on Monday at House No 509, F. Block, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. APP
