F'abad traders
asked to take
steps for safety
RECORDER REPORT
FAISALABAD: The district administration has asked the traders and shopkeepers to adopt precautionary measures against possible terrorist activities.
In a joint meeting with the trader's representatives of eight bazar and Faisalabad Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Hussan Nawaz Tarar and SSP Aftab Cheema reviewed the situation arising out of the bomb blast in Jhang Bazar, on Saturday, wherein one person was killed and 11 injured.
The district magistrate asked the traders to arrange security guards during the business hours who should make round of various streets and look for any possible terrorist activity.
He also asked the shopkeepers and vendors to take extra measures of safety, particularly under their benches and carts and not allow any one to leave any bag, plastic shopper and by-cycle near their shops.
Meanwhile, the district administration has mounted police in various city areas and elite force/commandos are making regular round in the bazar and on motorcycle. The trade leaders are also visiting each and every shop in the city and asking them to gear-up precautionary measures to remain vigilant during business activities.
The joint meeting also decided to arrange a "Walk against Terrorism" in near future to create awareness against terrorist activities.
