CE arrives in Karachi

KARACHI: Chief Executive Gen Pervez Musharraf arrived at Karachi on Sunday night after spending two days at Lahore where he met Punjab Governor Lt Gen Ghulam Safdar (Retd) and discussed law and order situation, an ISPR press release said.

During his three-day visit to Karachi, Gen Pervez Musharraf will inaugurate the 50th anniversary symposium of Jinnah Hospital on Monday.

On Tuesday he will go to interior of Sindh, meet farmers, notables and government officials at Moen Jo Daro and visit Larkana Caded College. He will also review the process of desilting operation and meet the representatives of farmers and Abadgars at Nawabshah.

On Wednesday Gen Musharraf will present colours to Army Air Defence in a ceremony at Malir Cantt and will attend the inauguration function of Asahi Engro at Port Qasim. He will meet Sindh Governor Air Marshal Mohammad Azim Daudpota (Retd) and discuss law and order situation and other matters of importance.

Earlier, on his arrival at Karachi, Gen Pervez Musharraf was received by Corps Commander Lt Gen Muzaffar Hussain Usmani. PPI
