Minorities support Kashmiris struggle: Cyprian

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs and Culture, Derick Cyprian terming Kashmir issue as 'Number One' problem of the world urged the UN and international community to exert pressure on India to give Kashmiris their due rights.

The minister said that entire Pakistanis including the minorities are fully behind their Kashmiri brethren in their struggle for fight of self-determination.

He said this while visiting Lok Virsa on Saturday where a number of programmes were arranged to highlight the Kashmir solidarity day being observed throughout the country.

The minister further said that the Kashmir struggle has entered a decisive shape and this issue needs to be solved forthwith amicably through dialogues, the minister observed. At the same time the world community must stop India from gross human rights violations in the occupied valley.

He also visited various stalls at Lok Virsa where Kashmiri arts and crafts have been put on display after inaugurating the exhibition of photographs and paintings, arranged by PNCA, depicting the Indian atrocities in Kashmir.

Renowned Kashmiri musicians and singers and members of minorities communities presented a variety of programmes including songs and tableau to draw attention of the world towards Kashmir issue and the plight of the Kashmiri people. APP
